24 Hours From Q-Town 2014: Hour 4
Hi Kids!
Our pal (and former president of 7000 BC), Paul Ziomek dropped by and brought us more prizes from The Southwest University of Visual Arts.
The first was a 24 page Bristol Board tablet and it went to Charles.
Then a few minutes later, Julie chose another ticket and Maggie won a 12 piece Prismacolor art marker set.
These are some serious prizes that impress even the most discriminating artiste’!

Hi Kids!
We’re about to have the first drawing and the suspense is palpable…
The lovely Julie was our Vanna White and pulled not one, but two tickets.
The first prize from Lobo Anime & Comics, a copy of “OTHER WORLD” went to Tony.

Jeff decided we should give two prizes just get us started, so Julie picked another ticket, and:

24 Hours From Q-Town 2014 Edition
Hi Kids!
We’re back, and I’ll be blogging live every hour (more or less–might have to snooze sometime) for 24 hours from the Game Room of KABOOM Test Labs on the west side of Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA (that’s where Q-Town comes in: Boston is also known as Beantown, Kansas City as Cow Town, Chicago is Chi-town, the list goes on. When we moved here in 1987, I thought that Albuquerque is the only town I ever heard of with two Q’s in it, so I came up with Q-Town–way more info than you really need, but there it is…).
But I digress…
Anyway, we’ll all be here just like we have been since 2008 (practically a tradition, eh?) keeping you updated on the progress of our participants with photos, and the winners of our periodic raffle drawings, and which of our sponsors were good enough to supply us with their support, especially KABOOM Test Labs, who once again have been gracious enough to give us a place to play for the full 24 hours.
So come on back and check in often. We’ve got some really cool stuff planned, and you don’t want to miss out on any of the excitng goings on, especially around 2 in the morning, when things start to get weird.

Well, here we are, three weeks later and Sarah has just sent me her 24 hour comic, “Faoladh” so I figure I’ll post it. Hopefully, this thing is still on…
So we’re still waiting for Coconut vs Soap, but that’s for another day, I guess.

24 Hours From Q-Town: HOUR 24 and BEYOND
Hi Kids,
It’s all over but the shouting, and we’re all too tired to do any shouting anyway.
Jeff says he’ll finish, but now he’s adding 3-D accoutrements to his pages.
NEWS FLASH!!!! Better late (not really late, with 2 minutes to spare) than never, Jeff has completed the oddest, most unwieldly, 24 Hour Comic in history!
The Redneck Zombie saga (all 3 chapters) has finally come to a close.
So there you have it. Another successful 24 Hour Comic Book Day.

24 Hours From Q-Town: HOUR 23
Hi Kids!
One more hour to go and another 24 Hour Comic Day will be “In the can”, as they say.
We bade farewell to Julie.
The big news of this hour is that Aliina has finished, maintaining her perfect record for the 7th year in a row. She holds the 7000 BC record for the most finishes, a record she will probably maintain, since nobody in 7000 BC has ever done that.

Aside from that, not a lot going on…
